It makes a good spot to look at eagles and leads to hiking in the Bear Mountain Park.
Poet’s Walk
This hike is located an hour north of Rhinebeck town. It's the best to visit if you don't want to break too much of a sweat while enjoying the beautiful views. Poet’s Walk covers a distance of 2.4 miles.
The trails provide breathtaking views of the Hudson River, the Kingston-Rhinecliff Bridge, and the Catskill Mountains. You will also get to take in views of beautiful red rose and blue-violet flowers and pick apples at Greig’s farm. The landscape is also relatively flat and makes it a great fall foliage spot if you are not adept at traversing hilly trails.
