Located in North Castle, this is Westchester County’s only memorial for the September 11th attack. The memorial incorporates all residents from Westchester who perished in the attack, the communities they came from, and a short quote about them contributed by their loved ones. You will find the words engraved on the memorial’s circular base. Steel rods extend upwards towards the sky from the base before intertwining at the top of the monument. This memorial was strategically erected at the intersection of several paths, which guarantees that its presence extends to the surrounding landscapes. The structure can, therefore, be approached from several different directions and is open for viewing by people of all ages and backgrounds.
