Winery at St. George

The Winery at St. George rests in the breathtaking Hudson Valley wine region. The main winemaking operation, guest center, and tasting room are all located inside the old St. George’s Church by Mohegan Lake. The winery at St. George produces limited edition wines from grapes harvested from the vineyard at the Hilltop Hanover Farm in Yorktown Heights. The vineyard at the Hilltop Hannover Farm was planted on 9th May 2007, as part of a natural resource conservation project in Westchester County. The vineyard boasts of three distinct varieties of grapes: Noiret, Seyval Blanc, and Cabernet Franc. The staff at the winery is always friendly and eager to have visitors sample their spectacular wines.

South Salem Winery

This is Westchester County’s first micro-winery. South Salem Winery is located in South Salem, which is ironically located in Northern Westchester County. The wine room of South Salem Winery is set amidst the beautiful Gossett Brothers Nursery and Farmer’s Market, giving it a fresh, natural ambiance perfect for wine-tasting. This winery is truly a micro-winery seeing as it only produces small batches of hand-crafted wines at a time. The grapes used to craft these wines come primarily from the Finger Lakes and Orient Point. Wines you can sample and/or buy at this mini-winery include Cabernet Franc, Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, a Rosé of Merlot, NYS Hard Cider, Vidal Blanc, and Chardonnay.

Prospero Winery

Tony Prospero left central Italy over 50 years ago with one dream to start a successful business with his father and his brother. After 30 years of harvesting grapes all the way in Pleasantville, California, the brothers decided it was about time to share their love of wine with the world. In December, 1999, a wine-tasting room was officially opened where a fruit and vegetable stand owned by the brothers stood. Prospero Winery welcomes visitors on a daily basis to experience fine Italian wines. Every variety of wine at Prospero has a taste of the passion that went into building this beautiful establishment.
